The Rushing Wedding
July 18, 2009
Courtney and Eli had a fairy tale wedding surrounded by their sweet family and friends.
Favorite moments of their weddings:
Courtney's dad gave Eli his shoe in rememebrance of the story of Ruth and Boaz as a symbol of transferring authority.
During the kiss, the groomsmen all held up scorecards... they got mostly all tens, and one 9.5
Courtney and Eli's flowers were some of the most beautiful I have seen all summer. But that is probably due to Courtney's job at her flowershop!

The Cohen Wedding

Matthew and Kristi were such a fun couple... Matthew is quite a character, and Kristina is such a sweetheart. (Check out the slideshow and see what I mean with Matthew's fun and zany Groom's photos. They are a hoot!)
Their wedding was held at and catered by the great crew at Settlers Bay. They always do such a fantastic job!

The Newton Wedding
June 13, 2009
The gorgeous Newton wedding was held at Anchorage Baptist Temple. The reception, which simply shimmered with Jessica's fantastic taste and style was hosted by the great staff of the Downtown Marriott Hotel. Ryan and Jessica met at the movie theater and so they brought that cute theme into their wedding. They had a serve yourself candy buffet complete with little popcorn bags to put your selection of sweets, and movie posters to decorate. Jessica's creativity really shone and I loved to see her personality in each of the black and white decorations that were throught the venue. The Marriotts sumptuous catering brought such delicacies as mouth watering king salmon filets... a sort of spartian salad with tomatoe slices, blue cheese and kalamata olives... were among my favorites of the dishes presented.
It was a beautiful gathering to mirror the sweet friendship and beauty of a relationship beginning with promises of forever.

April
This beautiful young lady and her troop of awesome friends met with me to make some photos for her upcoming album. She was the perfect model! What a cute figure and gorgeous features...
April
I can't wait to hear April's album... I asked her what her style was and she had a hard time explaining. That was when her friend interrupted and said that her style was totally unique and husky but still mixed with a bit of pop. Sounds right up my alley!

Photographers that try to get the same look from person to person tend get to be a bit boring.... it is when we take risks and think outiside of the box that we make some stellar photos. This is one of those. Spur of the moment as I was packing up to come to this shoot, I threw in this mirror from my bathroom. And it really turned into a fun prop! It highlighted her gorgeous mouth and cute little shoes so well!
April was awesome for being willing- she branched out and together we made some really fun photos.
Trapper and Katrina Most
April 4th, 2009
The day that this beautiful couple got married was perfect. The sun was shining and the air was a crisp pre-spring day. Our volcano had seen fit to keep its ash to itself. And Katrina was as beautiful of a bride as I have ever seen. And I have seen many a bride.
-March 2009-
It is engagement season in Alaska... And I have been busy doing a ton of engagement photo sessions. This is my latest. Abbey and Nathan met with me up at Hatchers pass. They brought a variety of clothing, but my favorite thing they brought was their snowmachine. I haven't been on one since I was a little tiny kid. Everything about it brought back memories... from the smells of the exhaust to the way it felt to ride all snuggled up behind the driver.
Anyway, we rode the snowmachine up the mountain a bit to get away from all the people. And it was worth it. I told Nathan to not go fast over any bumps...since I had my camera gear. But I have to confess that I did have to stifle a happy scream on the way down. What a blast!
Oh by the way, this photo is best when viewed really large. Click on it to see it bigger.
